A Brief History of the Shiagog

A Brief History of the Shiagog

A Brief History:

The Shiagog were created by the Varik Noir during the first age. Their creation was forced upon the Varik Noir after elves had stumbled into the Thia…

Infected by Oboron which was toxic to the elves nearly 210 of them died. The Varik Noir was forced to reach out to the source and take his physical form for the first time. This form was similar to the elves and became the mould in which all Shiagogs would take.

Wielding the great power of the source stream, the Varik Noir reached into the great beyond and transferred the Elven souls into the great the stream. There he reshaped them, reformed them so that they could exist within the realms of Thia, once done he used the great cosmic power to give those souls life in a form of a trans-corporeal state.  Their flesh became made of the source as the Oboron filled the veins serving in a similar manner to the crimson blood of the other worlds.

After their creation, the Shiagog became the bound and honourable servants of the Varik Noir. They served both as a way to allow the Varik Noir to understand the outside world and help him judge his perception of good and evil.  More over they drove the cause of the Varik Noir, giving him reason to enter Terra. This cause lead to the formation of the first states of the Empire.

In the first age of the Empire, they served on the front lines of every battle and war that was to be fought. Serving as the Varik Noir’s force of might and hand. The Shiagogs took on draconian beings, gods and demigods that had once plagued them as elves. They ended the torment of the demons upon their once holy cities.

During the first era the Shiagog knew nothing but torment and hardship. This however unlike most species across the multiverse would not break their souls, nor dishearten them, rather it served as a reminder for all they were fighting for.  To free those they had once called their kin, family, and friends… To allow for life and wealth to spring forth once more….

By the End of the First Age, the Shiagog grew from being just pale looking elves with self-emitting turquoise eyes, into the image which they are seen today. They developed their wings during the peak of their bloody conflicts.  Their evolution was driven when a band of Shiagogs followed the Varik Noir behind enemy lines and suffered devastating blows. In the search to be free the Varik Noir looked to the skies and for the first time realized how free the creatures of the air truly were. At this moment wings sprouted from his back in the desire to escape the pain and suffering. Simultaneously so did it from the elders among the Shiagog.  Later on, in their history, they would go on to evolve talon like thin nails that sprang from their fingers during combat. Fangs that helped them bite and even several interesting innate abilities that allowed them to expand the might of their species across the worlds of the multiverse.

Seen as a fierce military force the Shiagog have won countless wars giving them a reputation of an unbreaking army.  To their enemies, they were seen as winged demons, to those they protected they were seen as angelic saviours. Yet the truth was something much fiercer, much worse than any mortal man or demi mortal could ever imagine… For within their nature to bring balance to the source. To protect the weak and innocent, a darker essence lay beneath…  For it was the Shiagog, out of their self-righteous acts and absolute obedience that was responsible for the Curse of Shadows… To be loyal to a master without merit was to exact the worse evil that the multiverse had ever seen…
