Shiagogs Fall From Grace: Leonia’s destruction.

Shiagogs Fall From Grace: Leonia’s destruction.

The Fall Of Leonia

On the last day of the second year of the war the skies blackened with Thian Imperial forces blanketing out the sky, shutting out the sun and bringing on the night. The city of Leonia was surrounded by more troops then any of them could have counted. Leonia had no one to turn too, they had no help… All other outpost and cities had fallen. Civilization had been destroyed. All that remained of cities on the world of Terra was this one state…

The Shiagogs didn’t advance, they didn’t attack, they didn’t approach the shield. Instead, it appeared they waited for something, or rather waited for someone…

On the twelfth hour of the twelfth month on the last day of the Terran year, the skies opened as a green spiralling light lit up the night. From it, a singular, large figure could be seen descending. His wingspan wide, he could be seen by all….  He was meant to be seen by all…

On the ground, the forces began to tremble at his mere presence… He was larger and mightier than any of the Shiagogs that had been seen before. His mere eyes seemed to scorch the fabric of reality as strands of Oboron emitted from it, stretching miles out in either direction.

Then with a single pull of the source, the green Oboronic substances ignited the heavens. The spiral that had been a portal between Terra and Thia twisted outwards and descended faster than most could have seen. But if they could have slowed time, they would have seen the depth of Thia erupted from that spiral.  Then with an ungodly and unearthly crack the shield splintered, it crumbled immediately destabilized by the Oboron from the other realm… At that moment the entire city screamed out and fear…. They ran for their lives… But they had no where’s to hide…

The city of Leonia harboured two million five hundred thousand weakened men women and children… None of them could have fought, none of them stood a chance against the power of Gushtal… His troops flooded the city and, in a moment, cleared their walls.  A slaughter unfolded that would stain history… Would stain the Shiagog for all time… That would stain the fabric of the multiverse…

Across the city the Shiagog unleashed their power, butchering all that stood within. They could have left them be, they could have gone straight for the king. Yet under the orders of Gushtal, they burned the houses, they raped the women. The in-sighted fear till the that the elderly died untouched in the streets. Even when that was done, they ripped apart the humans, elves, dwarves and all others within. Then in a demented state, they painted the walls…. They lost all resemblance of humanity, of good that day…  They left not a soul alive… Bar a singular group…  Which fled through a portal? Even then, the Shiagogs were ordered to chase like ravenous beast…

In the great halls, the King and Queen of Leonia were nailed to the walls. Their guts were ripped from their bellies and strung up as a warning for all who would one day pass upon these ruins. Leonia was turned into an example for all who dared to plot and resist Gushtal… Then even worse, Gushtal’s power lashed out once more… He froze time around the city, to make sure this day would last… That anyone who found it would walk among the fresh corpses… If not relive their deaths completely…

The Shiagogs left Terra, destroying all the gates to that world… They left no kingdom intact. They left no building to give harbourage… The world was a ruin… All that remained was but scattered peasants, unable to rebuild, unable to defend themselves…
